Mark Rees
Mark was born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He received his undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and has been in practice for nearly 30 years, starting in 1995.
Derek Shollenbarger
Derek joined Rees Law Firm after earning his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University (LSU) Law School in May 2025 and successfully passing the Arkansas Bar Exam shortly thereafter. A native of Paragould, Arkansas, Derek and his wife, Kamryn — an elementary school teacher — have made their home in Jonesboro, where they are both deeply involved in the local community.
Derek’s connection to Rees Law Firm began well before law school. While completing his undergraduate studies at Arkansas State University, he worked with the firm, gaining valuable hands-on experience and demonstrating an early commitment to serving clients with professionalism and excellence.
At Rees Law Firm, Derek represents clients in a wide range of legal matters, including criminal defense, family law, and personal injury. Known for his passion for advocacy, attention to detail, and strong work ethic, Derek is dedicated to helping clients navigate challenging legal situations with confidence and integrity.
